Speed blog #5: Pants, pants, pants - the small things you love to love and love to hate

Any good stories about pants big or small? Have they caused you, or anyone you know, thrombosis? Ever forgotten to wear them? Ever 'forgotten' to wear them? What was your favourite pair? Have you found the perfect manufacturer of beautiful big pants? Tell us, tell all.

Yes, SpeedBlog No. 5 is about pants. Knickers, panties, keks, jocks, lingerie...we all wear it love or hate. What good pants stories have you got for us? Photos encouraged.

You can read Katherine Burgdorf's amusing advocacy of big knickers here.

and Gabrielle Jackson's shock confession on nanna knickers here.

Speed blog #4: You are what you read.

Does what we read as children have much influence on the sort of people we become? Are our personalities and life decisions shaped by the heroes and heroines of childhood fiction? What did you love to read a child and who, in particular, were your female fiction heroes?

Speed blog #3: Enjoy every stage of life

One of the wisest, most fun and wonderful women I know once told me that the secret to a happy life (and still looking and feeling great at 70) is to enjoy every stage of life. Don't long for the past or future, she says, because every stage of life offers something wonderful.

What stage are you in? (You don't have to disclose your age, don't worry!) How does it distinguish itself from past stages and what makes it great? Or do you wholeheartedly disagree with this advice?

Usual rules apply: be loose with the theme but not the word limit (200 words).

SpeedBlog 2:  There is no such thing as a male feminist. Discuss.

Tony Yoo recently approached us at Not The Style Pages to write a piece on why he resents being called a "male feminist". To Tony, there are only feminists and those who don't believe women and men are equal. You don't have to read Tony's piece to contribute, and your 200 words are not necessarily meant to be a response to Tony's story, but it got us thinking. What does it mean to be a feminist? Who is and isn't one? And does it matter if you're a man or woman? Can men really ever truly be feminists?
