Owen – so much to say, so little space.
I’ll start with this, though: love is a splendid but delicate thing. To have it
in your life – and you should, whether it’s pertaining to family, friends or girls
(or boys, or both, who knows?) – takes effort. You should be generous, magnanimous,
empathetic, patient and considerate; you should expect all that in return.
Love is, without doubt, fallible and it
can’t always save the day, but it is jolly nice, so it’s worth digging deep.
Most importantly, to someone entering their
second decade, I’d say this: how you love is a mark of who you are. I’ll spare
you the details, but the world is full of people who have no idea how to love,
or can’t be bothered to. So, set yourself above the fray – the chicks will
totally dig it.
